To provide current exchange rates, the app communicates with the Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.dev).
- When you open the app or refresh rates, your device sends a standard HTTPS request to the API provider.
- This communication is ephemeral: technical data (such as IP address) is processed solely to transmit the request and return the exchange rate data to your device.
- We do not retain, log, or store this data on our servers.
- The API provider is used strictly for functionality (fetching rates) and not for user identification.
3. Data Storage
- Settings: All application settings (e.g., selected base currency or favorite lists) are stored exclusively locally on your device.
- No Cloud Storage: We do not maintain user accounts, profiles, or cloud databases for this app.
- Local Data: This locally stored data is never backed up or transmitted by us.
- If you uninstall the app, all local settings are removed.
4. Children’s Privacy
The app is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
5. Security
We protect your data by using secure HTTPS connections for all network requests to the currency data provider. This ensures that the data exchanged between your device and the API cannot be intercepted.
